Anitha Arvind graduated from the Elite school of optometry in 1998. She has completed her masters in clinical optometry from Amity University and Pursuing PhD under University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban South Africa. Anitha holds fellowship in dispensing optics from ABDO college UK, Vision therapy fellowship from ASCO-India and is a fellow of the international association of contact lens educators, Australia.

Anitha is one of the founder members of Lotus College of Optometry and also established a college of optometry in Gwalior, M.P. Anitha has vast teaching experience at several schools and colleges of optometry across India and has presented papers and posters at national and international conferences. Her special interests include optometry education, dispensing optics, contact lens and public health.

She is currently an assistant professor at Sankara College of Optometry, Bangalore and does clinical practice at a private clinic in Bangalore. She is on board of ASCO-India and serves as Vice President and handles the fellowship activities and promoting standards in optometry education and practice.
